I went on to get trained by top MLM income earners and also got some coaching. Now I did learn a lot from them and you have to always be a student and willing to learn to ever become a success. But when it came to building my network marketing business they told me to buy leads and cold call them. I guess that's what someone told them as well.

Buying mlm leads from lead vendors and cold calling them. Give me a Break! I followed there advice anyway and sometimes spent $10 a lead at times because they said those were the red hot leads I needed to be calling. I bought them and started calling them, and I learned very quickly that those expensive leads were not any different than the cheaper leads, and they weren't waiting at home for my call either. They didn't even remember that they were looking for a network marketing home business to start. This was nuts!

Why this concept wont work? No one likes to be sold anything when you call them over the phone. It's impersonal. It's expensive. You can spend $20 on a lead it won't matter. The leads don't know or trust you and really never remember why you're calling them.
