    Your schedule can get pretty full if you are calling ten people a day, following up on leads and doing the work required. You have to make sure that the work you are providing is of the best quality possible or you will lose the customer in the long run. It is also of prime importance that you schedule ten activities per week. It may seem like a lot but if you think about how you spend your time during the day, you only need to schedule two things per day. As you likely eat lunch everyday, you can attend networking meetings or special events during those time slots. You can do the same for breakfast although eating out all the time can exhaust you. Activities do not necessarily mean you need to leave the office. You can create your own activities such as an informational session, a teleconference, a few meetings, the list is endless. An activity is anything you do that gives you touch points with your customers and with others in a network environment. You can schedule 10 meetings a week if you wish, but I suggest that you only schedule six or eight at the most. You will want to include at least one networking meeting per week. You should also put a service organization into your schedule. I belong to Rotary and we meet once a week for a lunch on Fridays. The Chamber also has events that I like to attend and sometimes those are once every couple of weeks.     Greetings to all!Well its easy to see that in our day and age, money is just as important as Oxygen! A Bold statement you may ask, but lets face it Life without Oxygen = No Quality of Life.     Educate your prospects and customers about what you do, how you do it and why it’s important to them. This is not merely telling how you’re different from your competition; rather, it’s a preemptive strike against your competition by informing the public of what your business and industry actually do. The more information and expert knowledge you can share with prospects and customers, the greater the chances are that they will make an informed buying decision -- the one you want them to make.

    Here’s the point: The first one to tell the public about the how, what and why of your business and industry -- even about “business as usual” processes and concepts -- gains a marketing advantage. I call this the “W.Y.K.V.W.O.D.K.A.A. (A.W.)” (Pronounced, “Wick-vee-Wadkah”) marketing principle: “What You Know Very Well Others Don’t Know At All (or “As Well).” Slap yourself in the face with the obvious and tell your customers and prospects about it and you’ll gain the competitive advantage.

    Focus on Customers, Not Competitors

    What about competitors getting hold of your report? Wouldn’t that be bad news? Chances are they already know much of what you’d be writing about. After all, they are in the same industry.
