Recent articles suggest that many Americans work overtime hours for free. Especially with salaried jobs that are based on hourly wages for a 40 hour week, most hard working career minded individuals are willing to stay long past their 8 hour work day. I set my own hours. I can work around everyone’s schedule running small workshops at different times of the day. I can afford to put in about 4 or 5 hours a day and call it quits. The rest of the day is mine to do as I wish.

I’m not relying on something that may or may not be there regardless of my contribution. If I work my art workshop center properly, it will be there for years to come. That’s the kind of security I need.
