A Powerful Partnership: Legal Marketing and Graphic Design
There is no room for a disconnect between the image your firm is projecting and the position you seek to carve out of the marketplace. More than ever, shifts in the legal industry are shining a bright light on business development. As the face of the firm evolves, its storytellers, i.e. the logo, firm brochure, practice area literature, recruitment material, trade publication ads, event invitations, newsletters, and the web site need to reflect the change. Collectively and individually, these ambassadors make a great case in favor of ju
re from your guests, especially if you run a place for guys who work away from home. I did come across one place doing this that had a sign up saying strictly no fish. enquiring why, I was told that a couple of guys had taken a fishing trip at the local lake and caught a trout, which they decided to eat fresh by putting it in the microwave. This stunk the guest house out for a couple of weeks and caused quite a few complaints.

These communities tend to be quite small, but have groups that get together and talk about facilities that are availabl

9 Winter Driving Tips for Truckers
There are no secrets when it comes to winter driving. If there's ice on the road, it's dangerous. The big truck flying past you at 55 mph when everyone else is crawling along at 15 or 20 mph doesn't have the inside track on the winter roadways. You're liable to see him in the median a few miles up the road.If you're driving on ice, you won't know it until you need to stop. It doesn't matter if you're in a sedan, a 4-wheel drive or a big rig: brakes are the great equalizer.Tip #1 Ice on your windshield means ice on
Having spent some years using various forms of accomodation on my travels with my family, I have noticed that the places that supply microwave ovens for their guests appear to have hit upon a popular crowd pleaser. Microwaves are not the reason that guests come to your guest house but they can be a good marketing ploy for people with families.

1; It was when my wife and I had kids that we really noticed that a place with a microwave was a distinct advantage. Having baby formula to heat when your away is sometimes difficult and takes some preparation in advance. We have resorted to taking a flask and keeping it filled with hot water. This is not only a time consuming practise, but if one of you forgets to fill the flask can lead to the most ridiculous of arguments. We stopped at a place that had a basic communial microwave in the sun lounge and realised what a great idea this was, and we even commented to the hotels owner how much easier it was for us with our two young kids. The microwaves provide though are not always the same as peoples home microwave ovens so a cautionary notice should be placed above the microwave to make sure that guests check the product that they have cooked in the microwave before serving it. This is not only great for babies formula, but for jars or tins of baby food.

2; Having bags of microwave popcorn for sale can not only be a great money spinner but also help to pay for the cost of your microwave and if your lucky make you a great profit. We visited a place where they were very family orientated and had three microwave ovens in the childrens area with popcorn for sale at above normal shop prices. As i was running a bar at the time i asked the owner if there was any profit in selling the popcorn and he told me that he had covered the cost of the first microwave in two weeks and thus added two more. He also held little competitions for the kids every evening giving away a bag of popcorn and had noticed that this always set the ball rolling. He ad a notice above the microwave ovens stating that they were to be used by adults only and the cooking time for the popcorn was three minutes. This timing notice was added after somebody had nearly set fire to the place by blasting the popcorn for about ten minutes. The guy also had an extraction hood over the microwaves to take away the smell, as some people had complained that it was penetrating there rooms.

3; Providing hot beverages, in the rooms, has long been a part of the innkeepers trade, so I was fascinated to find a place that had a selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate in the lounge next to a microwave oven with prices for each product and and heating times. The owner said that the drinks were very popular especially with older guests in the evenins as they were relaxing watching T.V. and took the pressure off him and his staff.

4; Pizza slices in a fridge is another great way to get a little more from your guests, especially if you run a place for guys who work away from home. I did come across one place doing this that had a sign up saying strictly no fish. enquiring why, I was told that a couple of guys had taken a fishing trip at the local lake and caught a trout, which they decided to eat fresh by putting it in the microwave. Take Back Control! (of your Marketing)
Copyright (c) 2006 Audrey BurtonI have heard "I hate marketing" or some version of that statement many times, and I understand. I like marketing, and still sometimes I hate marketing. One of the biggest problems is that there are so many options that it's sometimes impossible to know if you're doing the right things at the right times. I really do understand. If you have thousands of dollars in your marketing budget, you can pay consultants to help you with creating a plan, purchasing print advertising, executing a s

Providing a microwave for these people to heat the foods they have brought with them can lead to greater room occupancy. You do have to be little flexible and hope that they dont stink your place out though.
