So what's your small business marketing strategy? I'm willing to bet that close to 85% of the people reading this are scratching their heads now. Many small business owners fail to create a marketing strategy at all, instead focusing on tactics.Let me give you one of the definitions of strategy from the fine folks at Merriam Webster: a : a careful plan or method : a clever strategem b : the art of devising or employing plans or strategems toward a goalSo a strategy is a plan and the implementation of that plan. A Dozen Tips for Staying Motivated in Your Job Search
    1. Recognize your motivational enemies in a job search. They are: constant rejection, constant failure, and lack of control. Don’t let them make you inactive and lacking in confidence.2. Look forward, not backward: Every minute you spend thinking about your past job is a minute robbed from your future. And anyway, your previous employer is no longer paying you for thinking about them; you’re giving them free consulting time.3. Focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses. It is human nature to spend more time thinking about your weaknesses than your strengths, but getting a job and being su
It seems a new trend is emerging in the real estate investment industry. This new trend is costing new real estate investors plenty for past due bills of former property owners and tenants. Utility companies and County agencies are sending bills without checking ownership or other records, perhaps with the hopes that new owners will pay up with no questions asked. This would instantly produce additional revenues.

I recently witnessed two instances of this new trend. One client received a city bill for “rental housing license and refuse collection fees for rental properties.” My other client owned a property for almost a year and the tenant’s lease ended. She called to turn on the utilities for the city inspection, only to learn there was an outstanding bill for the water and electric.

    Debt Consolidation Loans
When an individual is facing high monthly payments due to substantial debt to a credit card company, it is always one’s goal to lower those monthly payments so that they become manageable in short and long term. Credit card companies charge ridiculous interest rates that you just don’t see anywhere else. These rates should be avoided and debt consolidation is one of the more effective ways to make sure, you are getting fair value for your money.Lets say you have a debt of ₤20,000 and your credit card interest is 19% compounded daily. Note the compounded daily; this is a technique the credit cards use to maxim

Affiliate Marketing - Join in on the Success of the 2nd Wave
What do I mean by '2nd Wave'? Let me explain:Can you remember the good old days when affiliate programs first came into existence in the mid to late 1990's? Everybody jumped in with two feet and put up dozens of affiliate links on their site with no real thought to what they were doing. We then wondered why we didn't make any money - not any real money that is.The same thing has happened with the launch of other new industries in that the initial craze and hype got out of hand but when things quietened down people thought things through, put together business models and now succeed big time w

Consulting Salary - Are Your Rates Salary Equivalent?
Consulting salaries are very closely related to the hourly billing rates that you charge and the salaried equivalents that you can afford to pay both yourself and others down the road. The consulting salary you expect must be affordable given your hourly billing rates. This consulting salary must also be enough to attract sales and technical staff as your business scales up. If you don't set your rates at an appropriate level then you won't be able to offer competitive salaries to future employees and your business growth will falter. The Consulting Salary Equivalent of $75 an hour$75 per hour sounds like an a

You may ask what is the big deal? Well my first client was sent for “rental housing license and refuse collection fees for rental properties,” with an invoice date of January 3, 2006. My client purchased the property as an investment property in September 2006, almost eight months after the invoice date.

My other client called to turn on the water and electric, only to learn there was an outstanding bill for both utilities.

In the case of the water the outstanding bill was approximately $2,000. The electric bill had a balance of approximately $900. The water bill was attached to the property and now the responsibility of my client and not the former tenant. The electric bill went unpaid by the former tenant and the electric company transferred the bill to the property owner.
