    Building Relationships
Don’t you get a little weary listening to all the experts trumpeting, then droning on-and-on that ‘it’s all about relationships.' It troubles me since no one has taken time to analyze what it takes in developing quality long-term relationships. It’s important because all of us count on our referral network in one way or another as a lead source. And as we know, getting a referral is the surest way to a new customer.Ask yourself, has anyone bothered helping you understand what it takes to build and maintain a quality relationship?Consider building quality relationships as a PROCESS. Yes, think of it as a step-by-step sequence that takes time and patience with a long-term goal in mind because we never know where the next referral will come from. If you think you can do it in one or two ‘touches’ you are totally delusional! It takes continuous positive experiences over time.1st Stage - AcquaintanceWhen we meet someone for the first time we want to be friendly, cordial and above all genuine. Nobody likes a phony. People today have a natural resistance to accepting anyone into their ‘circle of friends’ as Robert De Nero said in the movie "Meet the Fokkers." A little kindness and spirit of friendliness never hurt any budding acquaintance. Certainly asking non-threatening questions is a great way to break the ice and serves as a starting point. Taking a real and sincere interest in the acquaintance’s answers shows you are listening, paying attention to what they are saying and forms a position from which any subsequent dialogues, ‘touches’ and contacts can be initiated. And it helps if you remember some defining comment the acquaintance made to you which demonstrates you found something significant and impressive about them in the initial conversation.2nd Stage – ConnectionThere is somewhat of a quantum leap from acquaintance to connection. It requires us to be easy to communicate with and understand. At this Stage something almost surreal happens when a bond and a commonality gets identified between both parties. This could be something as simple as growing up in the same city, having a common friend or having work

Affiliate Marketing - 3 Tips for Successful Affiliate Marketing
Many affiliate marketers are constantly looking for the successful product that provides the most income.Sometimes we think that there is some magic formula that is readily available. In reality, it is more complex than that. What we need is to adopt solid marketing practices that have been proven over years. There are some tactics that have always worked and continue to work for dedicated online marketers. Use these top three marketing tips and you will be able to increase your sales, allowing you to succeed and survive in the competitive world of affiliate marketing. What are these three tactics?1. Use a unique web page to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all your products together on the same page in order to save money on web hosting or domain names. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product separately, without distractions.Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding of what the product can do for those who buy it. Include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing. You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to read more or even contact you. Highlight your special points (USP's - Unique Selling Points). This will help cause your readers to want to find out more.2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so they simply cannot be missed. Create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale will not be closed until the seventh contact with a prospect. That's why the autoresponder series which follows up the opt in is so important. It doesn't let your prospect forget about you! When you only have a web page without the autores
I have given many prosperity lectures over the years and, in light of the current massive restructuring of all world and financial systems, I feel that now is the time for all of us to review our beliefs and refocus on manifesting prosperity and abundance in our lives. I do "walk my talk" and so I would love to share my experiences and knowledge with you. On the following pages, I will present you with some valuable tools that you can begin to use right away, to create money, prosperity and abundance in your life - with almost instantaneous results.

I started on this spiritual/metaphysical path as a child, studying and absorbing all I could. My American family, although not billionaires, did live in a beautiful mansion owned by a very wealthy and world-famous person in Japan. As a result, we were completely surrounded by an aura of affluence and security. On the property, and in the mansion itself, were several Buddhist temples, and that is where I started my daily (and secret) meditations at the age of five. By the time I was ten - a very magical year for me (and for many children, I've learned) - I had begun to give readings on the school playground and for adults. By then, I had already publicly demonstrated my artwork in Colorado.

Beginning in that tenth year, I also began to find money easily, usually on the ground. As I walked to school, I would frequently find dollar bills, sometimes five-dollar and ten-dollar bills, and once even a twenty-dollar bill sticking out of the snow. It was never that important to me, and I would always give the money to my mother, who recently had become a single parent. I would also hand over the loose change that I found in the schoolyard almost every day. When I look back on all of this, I realize that I was attracting money effortlessly, mainly because I didn't have any limiting beliefs about it. Also at this age, I was already starting to do my life's work and I believe that the Universe always supports us in every way when we are doing our life's work.

Get to Know Your Audience Via a Web-Based Survey
Have you considered launching a web-based survey for your nonprofit? Keeping in close touch with your audiences is the most effective action you can take to reinforce relationships with those critical to your success, and to ensure that your programs and services continue to meet their needs.Remember that responding to a web-based survey is so quick and easy that response rates are far higher than with traditional surveys. You'll need email addresses of those you want to survey in order to invite them to participate. If you're surveying all of your audiences (rather than a distinct segment), you'll also want to promote the survey on your web site.Best of all, a web-based survey is a great way to get critical input from your audiences -- to test ideas, solicit suggestions, or brainstorm on areas for improvement.Web survey tools such as Zoomerang (http://www.zoomerang.com) and SurveyMonkey (http://www.surveymonkey.com) are available for use in a basic version at no charge and in upgraded versions with more features for a minimal charge of approximately $20/month. So web surveying is an inexpensive proposition definitely worth a try.Bonus: Your audiences will appreciate your interest in what they think, helping you to build loyalty, as well as to shape your offerings to their needs.

Contemporary Bar Stools Keep Businesses Sitting Pretty
The only thing that does not change in this world is change. The business world is no exception. At Wall Street, stocks and bonds rise and fall due to hostile takeovers. Multi-billion dollar mergers are a daily thing. Executive decisions are made with the goal of saving a corporation's bottom line, not jobs. In the blink of an eye, seemingly unlimited amounts of money can be zapped from Wall Street to Main Street. In today's every-changing business world, people and corporations trade information at lightning-fast speed. What better way to reflect such exciting, dramatic, and no-nonsense times than through the office furniture? Contemporary bar stools can be as sleek as an iron-clad contract, or as enticing as a job offer.Furniture in the Offing The contemporary bar stool is an offspring of the contemporary furniture movement. This furniture can take on several styles, such as traditional, futuristic, and contemporary. In the late half of the 1900s, furniture designers created a style of their own. They avoided the use of flower print fabrics, carvings with details, and dark wood. They opted, instead, for straight lines, smooth styles, and light colors. Light-colored wood, such as birch and maple, was used for various pieces of furniture. Soft curves replaced fancy cut-outs. Furthermore, pieces were upholstered with natural fabrics, such as cotton or silk. Lastly, lighting, art prints, and organic pieces like wood, metal and stone enhanced the use of contemporary furniture. Not Just for Bars Contemporary bar stools can be part of an office's motif of contemporary furniture. Although barstools were first used in the Middle Ages, they can be just as useful and attractive in an office setting. The precursors of contemporary bar stools were designed to seat people at a bar. While today's contemporary bar stools may be utilized for the same purpose, they are mostly used to seat office workers, such as architects and artists, who work at an elevated table or counter. What makes barstools so useful? Well, for one, they are more mobile and liberating than typical office chairs. If workers need to frequently adjust their seats' height, or

5 Easy Steps to Turn MySpace into a Networking Machine For Your Business
So raise your hand if you thought MySpace was basically a high school hangout in cyberspace. Ok, I can see that most of your hands are up and so was mine by the way. That’s until I found out that more than half of the MySpace users are above the age of 35. According to an October article from Techweb, approximately 51.6% are over the age of 35. Add visitors age 25 or older and that number jumps to 68.3%. And it's still seeing 230,000 people sign up every day. So what does this all mean? MySpace has become a free and easy way to market your business or website to a massive audience. Below are 5 easy steps you can take to let MySpace jumpstart your business.Step 1: Register for a free Myspace account. Ok, that one was easy, but some of you haven’t even done that yet! Keep in mind, you are creating an account for your business. So use your business information where appropriate.Step 2: Create a profile for your business. When it says “About Me”, write about your business. The profiles are designed for individuals, so you’ll have to be creative in how you tailor your answers toward your business.Step 3: Start inviting friends to become part of your network. If your business is real estate, you can search for real estate agents, mortgage brokers or even people have real estate as an interest. You can be very selective in people you invite into your network and the more selective you are, the better the chance of those people accepting your request. Remember, some will say no, but so what? You can invite as many people to your network as you’d like – so don’t be offended if someone says no. It’s their loss!Step 4: Post Bulletins. When you post a bulletin on Myspace, it shows up on the main page of everyone in your network! You can post events, special offers, a birthday wish, anything you’d like. But be careful; too many posts and people will start to get annoyed with you and eliminate you from their network. Use the rule-of-thumb of only posting bulletins when you really have something valuable to say or offer and you should stay clear of posting too often.Step 5: Check out other people’s pages within your network. These people a

The Performance Improvement Action Plan - Have You Heard of It?
Coaching for success is a term that is becoming popular throughout the managerial workforce. It is used for bringing lower productive employees up in performance, and to bring the top producing employees into excelling at what they do. It is a hidden way of treating everyone equally while targeting the weaknesses that people have. If weaknesses are not improved upon, a performance improvement action plan is put into place. These performance improvement action plans are also used to move negative behaviors into positive ones.It normally takes about 20 days to change a person’s behavior. Managers are keying into this daily as the word spreads like wildfire. To legally change a negative behavior (attitudes, subordination, etc), performance improvement action plans are implemented to target specific key areas to improve. These plans are implemented for 30-60 days based on the discretion of the manager. An example of changing a behavior would be “leaving personal issues at home”. An action plan can be implemented by targeting areas such as customer service skills (i.e. smiling and being attentive). If any negative customer comments are being received based on this employee, then you target this into the issue, which happens to be “leaving personal issues at home”.If there is an employee who is in sales and not meeting targets, then an action plan can easily be implemented as well. Using the data that shows evidence of the employee not meeting targets, implement it into an action plan. Use basic ideas on how to grow the business (i.e. do follow up phone calls to customers on a weekly basis, visit local businesses to give sales pitch to, etc.).The importance in making this performance improvement action plan work is for the manager to do a follow up on a weekly basis. This can be a simple 5 minute meeting to discuss the employee’s progress. A simple initial from both parties will create the documentation. If the employee does not improve in the areas, a written warning is justified. When issuing a written warning, ensure that the current action plan is extended. Eventually, the employee will either get on board, or they wi
o my life's work and I believe that the Universe always supports us in every way when we are doing our life's work.

As I was growing up, attracting money and good things was never a problem for me. I didn't even think about it. When I needed something, I was always able to get it. About 15 years ago, I started a metaphysical business (that was part of my life's work). I attended college to study computer science and, simultaneously, the School of Metaphysics to learn new concepts that I could teach. I have used the knowledge I acquired in all of these endeavors to enhance my life's work. While I taught workshops on various subjects, including prosperity and abundance, I held down what I refer to as "3-D" ("third dimensional") jobs. Not until I was finally laid off in the spring of 2001 did I feel truly free. On that day, I celebrated, for it was a very joyful occasion for me. I had already learned that, when we lose our job, it always means that that job wasn't for our Higher good. Always.

When a job no longer "fits", when it's a chore to go to work and it's no longer enjoyable, it's either time to examine our job and see what changes we need to create to make it enjoyable, or it's time to leave that job. We'll get those whispers and nudges from our inner selves, telling us what we need to do. We'll have dreams about it. We'll begin to feel increasingly uncomfortable at our job.

In my situation, I knew it was time to go several months before the layoff and, as I pondered the best way to leave the position, I decided to bring joy and a sense of play into my workplace. So many of my co-workers were feeling extremely low by the increasing rumors that swirled about of job layoffs, declines in the stock market and the depressed economy. I initiated new ways to make work fun - potlucks, anything I could think of that would help change the energy of the working environment. This worked very well for me and, when layoff day arrived, I was joyfully ready.

I've learned that every situation in our lives teaches us how to love and that we can't leave something until we love it (or else we'll be tied to it). If you are in a job right now that isn't serving you anymore, find ways to bring love to your work. This alone may change the energy surrounding the job and you may find yourself enjoying it. Otherwise, you can focus on what you would really love to
