7 Tips for a Successful Business Venture
It is pretty easy to set up a new business but the actual challenge lies in surviving the cutthroat competition and to stimulate growth over the years. One of the prime reasons why most of the businesses face a very tough time is the lack of proper marketing plan and minimal focus on branding. After all, only when you are able to market your products properly to your target segment will you have a chance to generate revenue to take your business forward. While a business success is largely dependent on concerted effort of various major functions, during the early years it is most important to foc

Friend or Foe? Finding Your Trading Personality
Every trader has made the same fundamental error at some time in their career. Actually, most businessmen and entrepreneurs make this same mistake.Let me tell you a story: While at graduate school, I was crazy about windsurfing. Whenever it was windy, I was sailing. Nothing else mattered. Classes, assignments, term papers, labs and everything else took a back seat. If it weren't for my marks, I would have been kicked out for sure.Ask yourself "How can anyone get decent marks with that kind of focus?” And focusing on the task at hand, trading or otherwise, is what I want to talk about.
With the Dow Jones Industrial Average knocking around at an all-time high, interest rates peaking and the economy slowing a tad, the talk on cocktail party circuit isn’t about declining stocks and short selling. It’s just the opposite.

Ask anyone you talk to about short selling and you’re likely to get one of the following: (1) it’s too hard, (2) you rarely make money, (3) your gains will never taxed as capital gains and (4) it just goes against the natural order of the way we should be doing things. Plus, (5) they know somebody who ventured onto the “short” side and lost big.

Ask them if they ever sold a stock short and you get a look that says don’t ever look at my sister like that again look.

Make Money on eBay - Is eBay the American Dream?
Is having your own home based eBay business your goal? If so, you are in great company. In fact, many feel that being an eBay seller is all about the American dream. Successful entrepreneurs have the opportunity to work at home. They can make money on eBay, be their own boss, establish their business hours, and remove themselves from the hassles of an 8-to-5 J-O-B through their home-based eBay business. However, a home-based eBay business offers even more. It is possible to start part time and make money on eBay without giving up a current job. A home-based eBay business can be started with littl

How To Make Money On The Internet
In many respects, the Internet is very much like the early days of the gold rush. There is a lot of money to be made in unchartered territory. And as many marketing experts will tell you, one of the best ways to make money on the Internet is by producing your own product and then selling it.However, if you've ever entertained this idea, you know that it can be quite daunting. For example, in producing your own product, you may have to consider how to acquire the raw materials for your product, the packaging of your product and the overhead, all of which c

Secrets to Profitable Mail Order Products
The most profitable mail order products are simple 3-to-5 page informational reports such as this one. Once you've got your act together, these 3-page reports can be produced for $10 per hundred or less, and sold for at least $200 per hundred.Generally speaking, everybody either in or wanting to get into mail order, feels that they have the final answer to what the general public will beat a path to their door to buy. The problem is that once they've invested a good deal of hard-earned cash and countless hours, their programs don't sell quite as well as they had hoped they would. Thus it is t

    Why? I don’ really know.

Every investor knows that in order to be profitable, you must BUY LOW and SELL HIGH. For the short seller, the same rule applies only in reverse - that is SELL HIGH and BUY LOW.

If you look back in time, some of the most famous people on Wall Street were known for their short selling prowess. Names that come readily to mind are people like Jesse Livermore, Daniel Drew and Joseph Kennedy (yep – that Kennedy – JFK and Teddy’s daddy).

As for the famous ones today, I’m not telling and they aren’t either. The people who make their living shorting stocks full time are held in pretty low esteem by most of the trading public. Being the litigious society that we are, corporate chiefs have a tendency to go out of their way to make the “shorts” miserable.
